Remap Mouse Buttons

X-Button Mouse Control: X-Mouse Button Control is a windows application to remap your mouse buttons.

This software is designed and written for Microsoft Windows XP/2003 x64 Edition but I have also, from version 1.5, built a 32bit version.

You are able to provide an application specific mappings, which means one application can use the mouse differently from another. This is useful for games which do not inherently support the extended mouse buttons, because you can map keys to each button.

A number of people that have looked at SharpKeys have asked me about remapping mouse buttons… I haven’t tried it but it looks like it would get the job done.

Happy bits!

  1. Hi,

I’ve tried everything to remap my AltGr key on my Sony Vaio laptop but without succes…

Currently when I press the AltGr key on my notebook it gets this key (E0_2038), wich is unknown by SharpKeys.

Is there a way to map this key to the original Right Alt key(E0_38)?

I really hope you can help me out because I can’t use my notebook for programing purposes anymore and I don’t know what do anymore…

    Many thanks and regards

  2. No idea honestly but I know other people have successfully remapped AltGr – I’ve just never had a keyboard with it so I have no direct knowledge of it. That said, take a look at the comments here and on the 2.1.1 post – someone maybe have found an answer.

  3. HELP, PLEASE!

I have a PC with Windows XP with an Apple Keyboard and a Microsoft mouse plugged in. I really need to REMAP THE MOUSE RIGHT CLICK TO THE APPLE KEYBOARD!!! HELP, PLEASE!!!

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

  4. Is there any application-specific software or hack which can make some keyboard keys to act like mouse swipes or drags? if not can you please create such an application? I mean like when I press the “left” key, the result should be swiping or dragging to left, like in touchscreen games like temple run or subway surfers?
