MSNBC: “Now in the West insulting the prophet is allowed, but questioning the Holocaust is considered a crime,” President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said. “We ask, why do you insult the prophet? The response is that it is a matter of freedom, while in fact they (who insult the founder of Islam) are hostages of the Zionists. And the people of the U.S. and Europe should pay a heavy price for becoming hostages to Zionists,” he declared.
Maybe my math is off… but since when does insulting one man – be it prophet or otherwise – carry the same criminal weight as the imprisonment and mass murder of millions of people?
And it’s not just about the numbers. Nor am I going to w00t around the insult that’s already been done. I simply don’t follow the analogy. The Holocaust was a crime because people were imprisoned, tortured, and murdered. Insulting a man that has been dead for over 500 years is expressing an opinion. Insulting? Sure. Obviously. Good idea? I don’t think so. But I still can’t begin to see how they’re tying it together. Except that it’s pretty obvious that this guy wanted the Holocaust to be “successful,” the sick fuck.
Before anyone starts with “oh, you think it’s all of them” bullshit, this is the President of a nation. This man speaks for Iran. The same way our President speaks for us. Whether he’s playing a guitar, diddling an intern, puking at state dinners, taking naps in the afternoon, growing peanuts, tripping over his desk, or recording conversations in the White House: once put on stage, that President speaks for everyone in the nation. And yes, that should cover Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford, and Nixon – before that I wasn’t even a single cell organism, so it doesn’t relate.
So yes, you should be crapping in your pants, with Iran saying this whole thing about “the West” and that they’re playing in the pool of heavy water, trying to set up a nuclear arsenal. Pft.
I’m going out to get coffee.
Maybe I forgot to carry a one or something?
read that again…
QUESTIONING the holocaust
What Iran did was say that the Jews staged the holocaust to make people feel sorry for them. The Iranian government says that the holocaust never happened.
Go on…
PS. Where do you get your news feeds from? It seems like a vast majority of the articles you comment on are from MSNBC or Reuters.
Same thing, really, if you read the rest of the article. As to where I get my quotes, the link of the article is always in front of the quote… for the most part, yeah, they either come from ad hoc reading off MSN (to MSNBC) or RSS for Reuters…
i didn’t receive any answer about what is happening if you multiply negetive numbers times negetive numbers equals to positive numbers.
