Please note that this release will require two things that are not required for iMediaMan for Windows Phone:

– You must export your MediaMan data out to a CSV file

– You must host this CSV file on a web server, to successfully transfer data to your phone

One last thing, for 1.0 and 1.1:

– 1.0 and 1.1 are the same version of the application; 1.1 just has different metadata in the Zune Marketplace.

  1. Against my better judgment, I purchased iMediaMan for my windows phone. I exported my MediaMan data to a csv file, and uploaded it to My Dropbox.

Then I opened up iMediaMan on my phone, input the full dropbox url (which ends with mediaman.csv) and it appears that the data way imported into the app.

When I go to the MediaMan.csv screen and tap any of the items in the list, I get the same error:

    iMediaMan

An unexpected error has occured – please restart iMediaMan.

    Restarting iMediaMan does nothing.

  2. Well first off, thanks for bringing this to my attention – if I know there’s a problem, I can work on it.

I’m not sure what complexity DropBox adds to this, since that hasn’t worked well in the past [with the iPhone version] so if possible, I’d like to take a look at your CSV file that got exported. MediaMan has the tendency to only include fields that it thinks you want – I worked hard on a bunch of different versions of exports (with different data types) but I could have missed an edge case.

Can you email me the URL of your file (or a copy of the file) at randy@randyrants.com?
