“Déjà Vu, All Over Again”

The ALCS cometh… Boston versus New York, for the pennant, once more. To quote former Yankee Yogi Berra: “It’s like déjà vu, all over again.”

The “World Series of the Northeast” begins this week – at least I don’t have to lose any sleep to see the bottom of the ninth inning for each prime time game, this year. Hurray for the PDT!

  1. I would gladly bequeath them to a fellow drummer, but we never got them as part of the Saturday package… just the option to pay for tickets, which… hm. I don’t know that we even got THAT this year!

  2. I lived out West for five years and it was great to wake up Sunday morning and watch football at 10:00 am. Also the Monday night games were over by 9:30 pm. As for the Yankees, I guess I’ll be up until 1:00 am or so each night (I have to watch the post game show if they win). You know these games with the Bo-Sox are going to last 4+ hours. Boston is much improved over last year. I hope the Yankee pitching holds up. It’s going to be tough series this year. I give Boston the edge on paper but then again it’s the Yankees vs. the Red Sox. I think I’ve read that script before.

  3. So quiet here, baseball wise. I was expecting something rant-like.

And just by the way re the “Bellevue Mall”; that’s a sure sign of an outlander. It’s the Square- rarely even Bellevue Square- and like Yogi says, “It’s so popular no one goes there anymore.”

  4. Ya, the only baseball news on King 5 this morning was about the new M’s manager, which is certainly news worthy, but I find it amusing that they completely ignore the great series in the NL and the bloodbath in the AL…

Well, I am an outlander, after all :D
